Student Heritage Fund

Don’t Struggle along in Third Class…

Upgrade your work to First Class With the help of the Student Heritage Fund.

What is the Student Heritage Fund?

As part of the restoration of the Engine Shed, the Heritage Lottery Fund is supporting the Student’s Union with money for projects which allow both students and the local community to engage with the history of the Engine Shed and the local heritage of Northampton.

We have six grants of up to £300 to award for students who wish to create and deliver such projects.

What kind of Projects will be funded?

We are willing to support any project that focuses on the heritage theme, and produces a tangible outcome which promotes engagement with the Engine Shed and/or local heritage. This can be work that is part of a submission for an academic course, or simply something creative that you wish to do for your own personal development.

For Example:

  • An exhibition
  • The creation of a publication.
  • Creative responses such as artwork/performances.
  • Research
  • Events such as talks/lectures/seminars.
  • Educational resources.
